How and when you get paid
When funds are released to you after delivery.

Your payment for a project is held by Need It Made while you make the item, and released to you after it has been delivered and the Customer is happy. This protects you as well as the Customer: the money is committed before you start work.
Your take-home is your bid amount, with the flat 10% fee already accounted for in what the Customer paid. If a Customer raises an issue, it is judged against the specification you agreed, which is another reason to write a clear spec when you bid.
