Getting signage & display made
Shopfronts and fascia signs, a hand-painted or routed sign for a pub, café or workshop, wayfinding and room numbers, illuminated and backlit lettering, exhibition stands and point-of-sale displays, menu boards, and a one-off sign for a house name, a village hall or a garden gate.
Signage is judged from a distance, so say where it will be seen and from how far away: a sign read from the pavement is a different build from one read across a car park. Say whether it is indoors or outdoors, because weather exposure decides the material, the finish and the fixings, and whether it needs lighting, and if so mains or low voltage. Give the exact wording, your font or logo file, and the dimensions of the space, and check whether a landlord or the local council needs to approve it before you commission. Simple cut or painted signs are often a two to three week job; anything illuminated or with fabricated lettering takes longer.
