How it works

How a project works, start to finish

The journey from posting a project to receiving your finished item.

1 min read

Every project follows the same simple path. Here is the whole journey at a glance.

  1. A Customer posts a project

You describe what you need, add photos or files, and set your timeframe. Posting is free.

  2. Makers place bids

Interested Makers send a price and a short note on how they would approach it. You can message them with questions before you decide.

  3. You choose a Maker and pay

Pick the bid that suits you and pay through the site. The price you pay includes UK delivery.

  4. Your payment is held

We hold your payment while your item is made. The Maker is not paid out until it has been delivered.

  5. The Maker makes and ships it

You and the Maker keep in touch in the project chat. When it is ready, the Maker sends it by tracked courier.

  6. You receive it and it completes

Once your item arrives and you are happy, the project completes, the Maker is paid, and you can leave a review.
